APSA Leadership
APSA relies on the work of dedicated members, Council members, and officers to provide expertise and guidance and to help the Association engage with the important trends and issues facing political science as a discipline. APSA is governed by an elected Council, guided by the APSA president, while everyday operations are overseen by the Executive Director and supported by APSA staff

APSA committees provide effective leadership and guidance on APSA policy, connect APSA to important groups within political science, and support APSA’s efforts to recognize teaching, service and scholarship within the discipline. The APSA task forces seek to expand the public presence of political science and engage with important trends and issues in areas of public concern. More information about the current APSA Council and committees, as well as current and past APSA presidents and presidential task forces, are available at the links below.
