The Fund for Latino Scholarship
Congratulations to the recipients of the 2022 Fund for Latino Scholarship!
Applications for the 2022 Fund are now closed. The 2023 cycle will open in May 2023 and will have a June 15, 2023 deadline.
The Fund’s primary goal is to encourage and support the recruitment, retention, and promotion of Latina/o political scientists (especially students and tenure track junior faculty); our secondary goal is to support research on Latino politics in the United States (especially students and tenure track junior faculty). Grants will be made to individuals, institutions, and projects whose purposes most clearly match the goals of the Fund, and whose proposals most persuasively demonstrate capacity for successful completion.
The fund will award grants to initiatives that:
- identify promising Latino/a undergraduates and encourage them to enter the profession of political science;
- provide professional opportunities and financial assistance to Latino/a graduate students in political science programs;
- support the teaching, research and publishing activities of contingent, junior-level, tenure track, and other Latino/a political science faculty; and
- support research projects on Latino/a politics in the United States.
