APSA’s RAISE the Vote Campaign

APSA’s RAISE the Vote campaign, in accordance with APSA’s Statement on Civic Engagement and Voting, aims to provide political science faculty with the tools needed to effectively encourage student voter registration, voting, and democratic engagement. The campaigns’ main goal is to increase college student voter registration, voting, and civic engagement through two key mechanisms:

  1. Providing concrete steps and best practices that faculty can use in the classroom and on-campus to encourage student engagement;
  2. Highlighting the research, teaching, and service of APSA members as relates to civic engagement and voting, and encouraging faculty to use these resources in their classrooms.

The resources highlighted by the RAISE the Vote campaign will be featured on the new RAISE the Vote website, in APSA member newsletters, on PoliticalScienceNow.com, APSA’s social media channels, and throughout other APSA programming.

In addition, the RAISE the Vote campaign will include special events and grants focused on student voting and civic engagement. Interested parties are advised to check back often for updates.
