APSA Statement on Testimony from Florida Faculty

On behalf of the American Political Science Association, we strongly condemn the University of Florida’s unprecedented decision to deny political scientists the opportunity to provide expert testimony on Senate Bill 90, a new restrictive Florida election law. This denial is an affront to the university’s commitment to academic freedom and must be reversed. Read the statement here.

documents Statement on Changes to Post-Tenure Review in the University of Georgia System
The American Political Science Association condemns the recent changes to post-tenure review in the University System of Georgia. These changes drastically weaken the protections afforded to tenured faculty at Georgia’s public universities and potentially will serve to undermine academic freedom in the process. Read the statement here.
