Liwu Gan graduated from the University of Chicago with an MA in international relations in 2014. She received her BA in politics from Willamette University. Liwu's research interests include international organizations, humanitarian intervention, and U.S. foreign policy. In particular, her MA thesis explores how the US executive strategically uses international organizations to delay military action when it deems intervention too costly. As a PhD student, she looks forward to refining her research interests in hopes of eventually becoming a professor.
