CONFERENCES
ANNUAL MEETING
The APSA Annual Meeting & Exhibition brings together political science
professors, scholars, in-field practitioners, and students at the end of every
summer for the course of four days. The event provides an opportunity
for them to present their research, learn about the latest issues in political
science, collaborate and network with their colleagues, and discover new
solutions in the exhibit hall.
The 2017 event took place in San Francisco for the 113th year, kicking off
with short courses on Wednesday, August 30, followed by conference panels
on Thursday through Saturday, and concluding programming on Sunday,
September 3. Attendees discussed the conference theme, “The Quest for
Legitimacy: Actors, Audiences, and Aspirations,” and its current application
to political science issues through variety of sub-discipline lenses.
