The Society for Disability Studies (SDS) is a nonprofit scientific and educational organization. It is a multidisciplinary and international organization composed of social scientists, scholars in the humanities, disability rights advocates, providers, and agency personnel concerned with people with disabilities. The purpose of SDS is to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to share ideas and to engage in dialogues that cut across disciplinary backgrounds and substantive concerns.
