Organization of American Historians

Website: http://www.oah.org/

The origins of the OAH date back to the founding of the Mississippi Valley Historical Association in 1907. As it became evident that this was no longer a regional organization, in 1965 the members agreed to change its name to the Organization of American Historians. Today, the OAH staff in Bloomington, Indiana, serve a membership of 12,000 professionals and scholars from around the world interested in the American past.
