The Christopher H. Browne Center for International Politics has been established to advance research, teaching and debate about international politics. It seeks to open new avenues of inquiry on the international system and the array of global, national, inter-governmental, and non-governmental units and processes of which it is comprised. In addition to advancin g traditional research agendas based on studies of statecraft and the strategic and political implications of different distributions of military and economic power, PENNCIP's agenda also incorporates recent innovations on the study of international affairs associated with institutionalist and global political theory perspectives, as well as work being done by scholars exploring the interface of international relations and comparative politics.
