The European Community Studies Association - Canada (Association d'Etudes sur la Communauté européenne - Canada) seeks to promote the discussion, study and understanding of the European Union. The Association organizes an annual conference on topics relating to the EU and European integration. In order to encourage a greater understanding of the European Union ECSA-C is in regular contact with the EU Delegation in Ottawa and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. The Association seeks to encourage the study and teaching of the EU in Canada. We publish a newsletter two to three times a year, encourage the expansion and development of university courses, draw attention to Canadian research on European integration, and encourage greater understanding of EU policy processes, for example through simulations of European Council decision-making.
