In as little as one sentence, you can complete your gift to APSA in your will or trust. Simply share this sentence with your attorney or financial planner:

"I give _____% of my estate [or $_____ ] to American Political Science Association, Tax ID 53-0200001.”

If APSA is already in your will, complete the Confidential Gift Intention Form to notify us of your plans.

You can update the beneficiaries of your insurance policy at any time by simply requesting a new form from your insurer. You can name the American Political Science Association to receive the whole amount or a percentage.
Leaving retirement assets to APSA is easy and you don't need a will. Simply update your beneficiary designation form with your plan administrator.

If you are at least 70.5 years old, you can satisfy all or part of your required IRA distribution for the year by making a direct gift to APSA. Let your IRA administrator know that you want to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution.
If you have a donor advised fund, you can recommend how much and how often you want to distribute a donation from that fund to APSA. Simply ask your fund administrator to make a grant to APSA using our EIN: 53-0200001.

You can also name the American Political Science Association as a beneficiary of whatever is left in your donor advised fund after your lifetime. As with retirement accounts and life insurance, it's as easy as updating your beneficiary form.
Donating book royalties is a simple way to support APSA's mission while promoting your book. When marketing your publication, let readers know that royalties will be donated to the Association.

All you need to do is ask your publisher to send your royalty check directly to APSA. Please ask your publisher to include your name with the payment so we know it was sent on your behalf.

If you shop online, start at smile.amazon.com and set the American Political Science Association as your designated charity. It’s the same Amazon you know, but with a donation built in. At no extra cost to you, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate to APSA with every purchase you make.
If you are affiliated with a company that matches contributions, your gift to APSA may be matched, doubled, or — in some instances — more than doubled. Find out if your employer participates by checking with your Human Resources team.
Invite your family and friends to support APSA by hosting a fundraiser to celebrate birthdays and special occasions.

From your Facebook newsfeed, click “create” and select “Fundraiser.” Then type in “American Political Science Association” and Facebook will create a fundraising event for you.
