The Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics was founded in 1992 at Iowa State University to interest, educate and engage citizens in the political process. The Center honors Carrie Chapman Catt, a distinguished alumna of Iowa State, leader of the woman suffrage movement, crusader for international peace and an advocate for the expansion of women's rights throughout the world.

Our mission is to promote women's leadership by providing quality education, conducting research that makes a difference in women's lives, and serving as a resource for the empowerment of women from diverse communities across the Commonwealth.

Since 1985, the Center on Women and Public Policy has used a gender analysis to challenge fundamental assumptions about politics, law, and economics on issues ranging from human rights to judicial selection and independence.

Leadership Illinois is a public not-for-profit organization established in 1988 for the purpose of providing education relating to the advancement of women. The Board of Directors provides governance and is responsible for establishing overall policy direction for Leadership Illinois.

Leadership Illinois provides a forum for exposure to ideas and philosophies of some of Illinois’ most influential women leaders, as well as the opportunity to connect with other women of accomplishment from throughout the state.

The National Council for Research on Women is a network of more than 100 leading U.S. research, advocacy, and policy centers with a growing global reach. The Council harnesses the resources of its network to ensure fully informed debate, policies, and practices to build a more inclusive and equitable world for women and girls.

The Institute for Women in Public Life was founded in the fall of 1996 on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis to assist women in developing the interest and skills necessary to succeed as full participants within government, serving in elected and appointed office as well as employed policy makers.

The Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) is a university-based research, education and public service center. Its mission is to promote greater knowledge and understanding about women's participation in politics and government and to enhance women's influence and leadership in public life. The Institute for Women's Leadership (IWL) consortium comprises six units of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The institute and its member organizations are located on the Douglass College campus in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The consortium members conduct research, develop and sponsor programs and public service initiatives, and are critically engaged in preparing women of all ages and racial or ethnic backgrounds to play active and constructive public roles.

The institute is dedicated to examining issues of leadership and advancing women's leadership and involvement in decision making in all arenas. The interaction among the member units of the consortium encourages scholarly and practical explorations of how institutions are structured by gender, race, and ethnicity and promotes new understanding of women's leadership.

The Pennsylvania Center for Women, Politics, and Public Policy (PCWPPP) at Chatham College is a non-partisan center devoted to fostering women's public leadership through education, empowerment, and action.

The first to focus on women's political involvement in Pennsylvania, the Center integrates disciplinary knowledge, civic education, and capacity building while examining the intersection of women and public policy. The Center conducts candidate and advocacy trainings, offers educational programs in applied politics, and provides timely analysis on women's issues through its Hillman Chair in Politics and Regional Women's Initiative. The Center is also home to the College's membership in Project Pericles - a select group of liberal arts colleges that have made institutional commitments to promoting participatory citizenship and social responsibility.

The Women & Politics Institute's strategic location in Washington, D.C. allows students and faculty alike easy access to the resources of the nation's capital. The Institute offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to take courses taught by nationally recognized experts within their fields, to work in career building internships with women's organizations and in offices of women members of Congress, and to attend leadership workshops and lectures featuring distinguished women leaders. The Women & Politics Institute also offers the only Graduate and Undergraduate Certificates in Women, Policy, and Political Leadership.

The Institute provides for the holistic development of women as leaders in their profession, faith community and community at large. Recognized for its emphasis on leadership development, Mount Mary College, through the Women's Leadership Institute brings that expertise to a broader audience. The Institute, in collaboration with women leaders in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin, seeks to provide programs, resources and mentoring for women in the greater Milwaukee area.

Mission: To foster the social and economic development of Nevadans through the collection, preservation, and analysis of information on women in the state. The public dissemination of Institute research, within Nevada and across the nation, facilitates faculty research, builds leadership skills, and generates visibility for the University.

The Center works to promote a safe and supportive climate that enables women to engage as full and active participants within the university system. The Center helps transform the educational environment into a more inclusive and progressive institution by assisting, supporting, and mentoring women at Washington State University. The Women’s Resource Center develops programs to celebrate women’s diversity and contributions, while actively confronting societal challenges and obstacles through activism and working for change. Our programs address gender, race, class, and their intersections, recognizing the relevance of these inter-related social issues. Offering resources and educational programs to members of our university, we engage the larger constituencies to act as change agents for a more diverse and inclusive educational system.
