News from the journal Political Psychology
The journal Political Psychology is dedicated to the analysis of the interrelationships between psychological and political processes and draws on diverse disciplinary sources including anthropology, economics, history, international relations, neuroscience, philosophy, political science, political theory, cognitive, personality, and social psychology, and sociology. The journal is sponsored by the International Society of Political Psychology and is published six times a year by Blackwell. It is currently edited by Stanley Feldman, Leonie Huddy, Howard Lavine, and Charles Taber of Stony Brook University.
Political Psychology received a record number of submissions in 2007, and it continues to be ranked among the top journals in political science. In 2008, the journal will publish a special issue on emotion (April), a symposium on the work of Alexander George (August), and a symposium on suicidal terrorism led by Arie Kruglanski and colleagues (December). In 2009, the journal plans to publish a special issue on political reconciliation, and a special issue in recognition of the work of David Sears. Future symposia in the planning stages include the legacy of (recently deceased) William McGuire and evolutionary psychology and political behavior.
