Each year, Pi Sigma Alpha bestows awards for Best Undergraduate Class Papers  and Best Undergraduate Honors Theses, for which each chapter advisor may nominate one per year in each category. Nominations are due on June 15; winners are announced by July 15. The cash awards are $250 for each first-place winner and $100 each for runners-up.

Every paper must be submitted in paper copy in triplicate, plus one electronic copy, covered by a letter of nomination on department letterhead and signed by the Chapter Advisor.  The letter must include the author's home (summer) address, and an affirmation by the Chapter Advisor that the paper was written for a political science class or as a political science honors thesis.

Chapter Advisors should not include their own evaluations of the papers or of the authors since such material will not be sent to the selection committee.
