Pi Sigma Alpha Undergraduate Journal of Politics Call for Papers

Union College’s Zeta Upsilon chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha is very pleased to host The Pi Sigma Alpha Undergraduate Journal of Politics. The Journal is sponsored by Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.

The Journal welcomes submissions from undergraduates of any class or major; submissions from Pi Sigma Alpha members are especially encouraged. We strive to publish manuscripts of the highest quality in all areas of political science. In general, papers selected for publication have been well-written with a well-developed thesis, compelling argument, and original analysis. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts before they are accepted for publication.

Two issues of the Journal are published every year (in the Spring and in the Fall). The deadlines for submitting manuscripts are:

Spring - February 1
Fall - September 15.

The editors do, however, accept manuscripts on a rolling basis. Any manuscripts received after the deadline will be considered for the next issue of the Journal.

To submit your work, please email it (as a Word document) to psajournal@union.edu. Please include your name, university, and contact details (mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number). Submitted manuscripts should include a short abstract (roughly 150 words), and citations and references should follow the APSA Style Manual for Political Science. The maximum page length for submitted manuscripts is 35 pages.

The Journal is a student-run enterprise with editors and an Editorial Board who are undergraduate Pi Sigma Alpha members at Union College. We also have an Advisory Board consisting of political science faculty from across the nation, including members of the Pi Sigma Alpha Executive Council.

If you have any questions, please email the Journal’s editors at psajournal@union.edu or Professor Zoe Oxley at oxleyz@union.edu.
