Each chapter is entitled to name two honorary members each year. They should be identified as "Honorary" on the membership certificate request form because the text of their certificates is different from regular members' and they are entered in the permanent record as honorary members. The initiation fee is the same as for regular members.
Honorary membership can be awarded to guest speakers at chapter meetings, faculty outside the political science department, or others who have done a special service to the chapter.
