a. Conference outside of APSA; unanimously passed last year at CNPS Business Meeting
b. Late Feb. 2011; Friday-Sunday in Puerto Rico; interested hotel; still several things to work out: size, structure, people from other disciplines and outside of U.S.—means to recruit membership beyond APSA; costs under discussion; perhaps CNPS subsidy so more people [and/or grad students] could go
c. A conference beyond apsa to excite our membership about our scholarship
d. Question: Mark Mattern—affordable? Barrow: not necessarily more expensive; Forman: perhaps PR hard to get to for many in Latin America; questions to Clyde; need for volunteers to work on conference planning.

The Caucus
for a New Political Science was founded in 1967 to make the study of politics
relevant to the struggle for a better world.
The Caucus is organized around the position that a commitment to social
justice, a sustainable democratic society, and human rights is central to the
study of politics. Members of the Caucus
are progressive scholars, activists, and practitioners.
