Call for Nominations

The ITP section of the APSA is pleased to call for nominations for awards to be presented at the 2008 annual meeting of the American Political Science Association. Nominations (self-nominations are welcome and encouraged) should be sent for consideration to the respective award committee chair listed below. Entrants do not need to be a member of the Section to compete for the awards, although as part of their award, each winner will receive a one year's membership in the Section. Questions can be directed to one of the award committee chairs or to Ken Rogerson at rogerson@pps.duke.edu. The deadline is March 31, 2008.

Best Information Technology & Politics Article Award
The Best Published Article Award recognizes the best scholarly article published about information technology and politics. The contest is limited to articles published in the calendar year 2007. The winner will receive a certificate and a check for the cost of one year's membership in the APSA and the ITP section.

Best Graduate Student Paper Award
The Best Graduate Student Paper Award sponsored by Lynne Rienner Publishers recognizes the best, sole-authored conference paper written by a political science graduate student working in the area of information technology and politics. The competition is for the current year's papers (presented at a political science conference in the calendar year 2007). The winner will receive a certificate and a check for the cost of one year's membership in the APSA and the ITP section.
