Global Inequality

About the Task Force About the Task Force

Established by American Political Science Association (APSA) President Susanne Rudolph in 2003, the Task Force on Difference, Inequality, and Developing Societies is part of APSA's efforts to support the problem-oriented study of politics, expand the public presence of the discipline of political science, and connect research in the discipline with issues of public import and debate. The Task Force has three goals:

  • First, to foster America's capacity to understand, engage with, and learn from cultures, ideologies and religions beyond those in the Atlantic community.
  • Second, to assemble what the discipline of political science knows about the key questions of global difference and inequality.
  • Third, to present and disseminate its findings in ways that will shape public discourse and be used by policy makers.
