NOTE:Registration is open now. Those who register for the Conference for Chairs after January 28 will be afforded free observer status the Teaching and Learning Conference.

The APSA Conference for Chairs is a unique professional development and networking opportunity for political science department chairs. It provides a venue for chairs to interact with peers in an environment tailored to their unique roles in the discipline, while combining valuable opportunities for structured and unstructured discussions regarding trends and challenges in political science today. The conference is part of the Association’s ongoing commitment to support the work of departments and is overseen by the APSA Departmental Services Committee.
The conference was first established in 2007 with an inaugural meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina. Given the overwhelmingly positive feedback and the success of that meeting, APSA aims to make the Conference for Chairs a regular feature of its programming. The 2008 conference will be held in conjunction with the Teaching and Learning Conference in San Jose, California, from February 21-22, 2008. A discounted registration is offered when registering for both conferences. You can register online now.
