About Short Courses

Each year, APSA hosts a professional day on the Wednesday prior to the start of the Meeting. On that day, organized sections and related groups may offer a variety of short courses.  Short courses are half- or full-day sessions that provide opportunities for APSA attendees to enhance their knowledge and to reinvigorate teaching and research skills.  

Information about the specific short courses to be held in Boston on August 27, 2008 will be available in May.

Organizing a Short Course

APSA Organized Sections and Related Groups as well as non-APSA affiliated organizations may propose a short course by submitting an application to APSA.  The deadline for proposing a short course for the 2008 meeting closed on March 14, 2008.
