RATED "NEXT BEST CITY" BY NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TRAVELER!

Philadelphia is a fitting location to host the theme of the APSA 102nd Annual Meeting, Power Revisited.   More than just cobblestoned streets and historic landmarks, the fifth largest city in the United States (and second largest on the East Coast) offers cultural, culinary, and artistic attractions while maintaining small-town charm and service. The conference is hosted by the Pennsylvania Convention Center, the Philadelphia Marriott Hotel and the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, all conveniently located in the heart of Philadelphia and near many tourist attractions.  The 2006 APSA Annual Meeting will offer excellent convention rates at eight luxury hotel properties, all within a 15-minute cobblestone walk of the headquarter properties. The Pennsylvania Convention Center is located across the street from the famous Reading Terminal Farmers' Market and The Gallery - the nation's largest city shopping mall. Close by is Rittenhouse Square, City Hall and the Avenue of the Arts, and numerous Philadelphia landmarks, such as the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.  We guarantee that you will find something wonderful to see and do.

HISTORIC AND MODERN ATTRACTIONS
Philadelphia has four centuries of history, modern-day neighborhoods, cobblestone streets and Colonial architecture, educational museums, upscale shopping, bustling nightlife, and world-class dining.  Theatres and performance venues abound in Philadelphia, especially on the Avenue of the Arts the city's premiere arts district. The Academy of Music, the Rodin Museum, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art are only a few of the many cultural attractions that abound in the Center City neighborhood.
