APSA's Journal of Record for the Profession
PS: Political Science & Politics provides critical analyses of contemporary political phenomena and is the journal of record for the discipline of political science reporting on research, teaching, and professional development. PS, begun in 1968, is the only quarterly professional news and commentary journal in the field and is the prime source of information on political scientists' achievements and professional concerns.
Current Issue: Volume 48, Issue 4
About the Special Issue: The October issue of PS begins with an introduction from the editors explaining the exciting changes for the journal in the coming months. In the Features section, three articles explore elections from different perspectives: congressional election prospects based on congressional events, use of Facebook data to forecast elections, and use of ad endorsements during the 2008 election. The Profession section includes advice for young scholars as well as an article investigating reviewer fatigue. The Teacher section talks about teaching tools, attracting political science majors, and the importance of K–12 civics education. The section also recognizes campus teaching awards for academic year 2014–2015. Finally, the back of the issue includes news and announcements in the discipline as well as an entire section remembering the 2015 APSA Annual Meeting.
