31st Annual Public Administration Teaching Conference Dates: May 31-June 1, 2008 PA Teaching Group (TPAC): “Reproducing the Field of Public Administration” Hosted by the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government & Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University The 31st Annual Public Administration Teaching Conference will be held May 31st – June 1, 2008. The two-day conference will provide practical tools for practitioners, academicians, students and others who are involved with the teaching or application of public administration. This year’s conference theme is “Reproducing the Field of Public Administration” and will involve teaching, mentorship, public service/service learning and pedagogical research as it relates to the practice and scholarship of public administration. The event will feature pedagogical expert, Dr. Maryellen Weimer. Dr. Weimer is Professor Emerita from the Berks-Lehigh Valley College of the Pennsylvania State University and was editor-in-chief of The Teaching Professor. She has authored and coauthored numerous books including: Learner-Centered Teaching: Five Key Changes to Practice; Teaching on Solid Ground: Using Scholarship to Improve Practice; and Improving College Teaching: Strategies for Developing Instructional Effectiveness.
