Awards
The Mary Parker Follett Award is given for the best article or chapter in politics and history published in 2006 or 2007. A decision will be rendered by March 1, 2008.

A new award, for the Best Dissertation in the Field of Politics and History will be presented for the first time at the 2008 APSA convention. The committee welcomes nominations of outstanding dissertations from Ph.D.s awarded in either 2006 or 2007. To nominate a dissertation for this award, send an abstract of the dissertation and a supportive letter from the advisor or other faculty member of the dissertation committee to the section's Secretary/Treasurer, David Robertson at daverobertson@umsl.edu. The deadline for initial nominations is March 1, 2008. The awards committee Theda Skocpol (chair), Harvard University, Paul Frymer, University of California, Santa Cruz and Sheri Berman, Barnard College will subsequently be in touch with advisors for full copies of dissertations selected from among this initial pool of nominations.
