Various authors have expressed concern about a lack of political interest and engagement among younger age cohorts. During this two-day conference we want to investigate whether this lack of engagement is indeed present, and whether in occurs in different political systems. We also investigate the role of education, parental socialization and mass media in the process of political socialization or development.
