CLAD and the Government of Argentina, through its Public Management Secretariat (SGP), Ministers Cabinet Staff (JGM), have the pleasure to announce the celebration of the
"XIII International Congress of CLAD on State and Public Administration Reform", to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, November 4 - 7, 2008.

For this Congress, six thematic areas will be approached:

1. Conceptual innovations and best practices to promote quality and excellence in public management
2. Political-institutional strategies and reforms to increase the capacity of government in democracy
3. Formation of leadership and directive capacities for the institutional strengthening in the public sector
4. Public employment and professionalization of civil service for the promotion of development
5. The challenges of the electronic government to universalize digital citizenship
6. Intergovernmental coordination of public policies and compensation of territorial imbalances

Panel proposals shall be submitted by electronic form to CLAD's General Secretariat before April 14, 2008. We invite you to send your proposal!
