5th Annual Workshops in Political Theory at Manchester Metropolitan University Hobbes Workshop Dates: 10-12 September 2008 This Hobbes workshop is open to all topics related to Hobbes, including papers that utilize Hobbes’s work in order to address contemporary issues. 12 papers will be given in four panels and contributors are expected to attend as many of these panels as possible. An effort will be made to organize the panels around particular topics, and presenters will be asked to read in advance, as well as provide written comments on, the two other papers given during their respective panel. Since participants will have read one another’s work in advance (thus making it unnecessary to read the papers aloud), longer, more developed work is encouraged (20 pages and up).
