Annual Meetings of Law and Society Assn and Canadian Law and Society Assn Website: www.lawandsociety.org/ann_mtg/am08/call.htm The 2008 Annual Meetings of Law and Society Association (LSA) and the Canadian Law and Society Association (CLSA/ACDS) will be held jointly Thursday, May 29 through Sunday, June 1, 2008 in the city of Montreal. The theme for this meeting signals that law is rooted in places — from families and villages to the global economy — and that law has the power to place and displace people in space, time, and relationships. We invite papers and encourage multi-disciplinary scholarship that reflect on the many dimensions of law, place, and power. The deadline for proposals for the meeting is December 12, 2007
