Each year APSA hosts workshop for department chairs as part of the APSA Annual Meeting. These sessions focus on issues important to the unique challenges facing department chairs.

The American Political Science Association Annual Meeting Workshop for Chairs "DEVELOPMENT AT THE DEPARTMENTAL LEVEL" Friday, August 31, 2007 12:00-2:00 p.m. Buffet Lunch Included Dear Department Chairs, You are cordially invited to join us for a very important discussion on the role department chairs play in financial development. Whether seeking a single grant or building an ongoing program of fundraising, chairs can benefit from a greater understanding of the fundraising process. The Departmental Services Committee will bring together a panel of political scientists and development officers who are experts dealing with such issues. Pre-Registration for this event is required. Registration is complimentary for DSP member departments . There is a $40 fee for Non-DSP member departments & additional guests. Make checks payable to "American Political Science Association," and please note on the check that the fee is for the 2007 Workshop for Department Chairs Registration.
