Int'l Society for the Study of European Ideas (ISSEI) Conference Dates: July 28 - August 2, 2008 Call for Papers A workshop session entitled "Democracy and the Internet" will be held at the 2008 International Society for the Study of European Ideas Conference (ISSEI) at the University of Helsinki (July 28 - August 2, 2008). We would like to invite you to submit a paper proposal for this workshop. Fuller details of our workshop can be found at http://issei2008.haifa.ac.il as well as further details about the ISSEI conference. As you know, the Internet and other new ICTs are having a profound effect on governance and citizenship throughout the world. This workshop seeks to explore a number of issues regarding the Internet and democratic government/citizenship. Review of all proposed papers will begin August 30, 2007 with authors being notified of acceptance/rejection on September 30, 2007. Please send via e-mail attachment a 300 word abstract, along with all of your contact information, to either of us no later than August 30, 2007. Please feel free to distribute this call for papers to other interested colleagues and advanced graduate students.
