Call for Papers

A workshop session entitled "Democracy and the Internet" will be held at the 2008 International Society for the Study of European Ideas Conference (ISSEI) at the University of Helsinki (July 28 - August 2, 2008).

We would like to invite you to submit a paper proposal for this workshop.  Fuller details of our workshop can be found at http://issei2008.haifa.ac.il as well as further details about the ISSEI conference.

As you know, the Internet and other new ICTs are having a profound effect on governance and citizenship throughout the world.  This workshop seeks to explore a number of issues regarding the Internet and democratic government/citizenship.

Review of all proposed papers will begin August 30, 2007 with authors being notified of acceptance/rejection on September 30, 2007.  Please send via e-mail attachment a 300 word abstract, along with all of your contact information, to either of us no later than August 30, 2007.
