Center Researchers Comments

"For me the Center provided an ideal environment in which to finish my manuscript. This is a wonderful resource, and one that will prove to be invaluable to the scholarly community."

"The Centennial Center provided me with a valuable research 'home-base' to which I could come at the end of a day of archival research and interviews at the nearby IMF Headquarters. Having my own office, phone, and computer, as well as non-stop internet and printing access made me much more productive than I would have been otherwise. Most importantly, I was able to interact and exchange ideas with other visiting scholars: although I spent only three weeks at the Centennial Center, I am convinced that those contacts will continue well into the future."

"It was amazing to have the facilities to do my work and to be surrounded by such a supportive atmosphere. Thank you for making it possible for me to conduct my interviews: sending letters with the American Political Science Association letterhead, and having a phone and just a base for people to reach me was invaluable. I was also surprised at how much contact that I had with other fellows: Coming from Germany, I could share a bit of information from my side of the Atlantic and learned quite a lot about what was going on currently in the states. The other visiting researchers were great and we've even decided to do some collaborative work together."

"For me the Center provided an ideal environment in which to finish my manuscript. The location in DuPont Circle could not be better, my office was spacious and conducive to getting a lot of work done, my colleagues and the staff made for a wonderful intellectual environment, and on the whole, and the APSA and Centennial Center staff went out of their way to make my stay a wonderful one. This is a wonderful resource, and one that will prove to be invaluable to the scholarly community. I hope to be able to return someday, though once this hidden gem is discovered, I imagine I'll have a harder time getting my foot in the door."
