Instructions for Annual Meeting Discussants
Thank you for your commitment to serve as a discussant during the upcoming Annual Meeting.
We appreciate your support in circulating the Annual Meeting papers as widely as possible. The following guidelines are provided to help maximize and facilitate the exchange of scholarly research in political science.
Duties of the Discussant Discussants critically evaluate the panel's research papers. Discussants cannot perform their task effectively if they do not receive panel papers in a timely fashion. Therefore, APSA requests that authors send electronic or hard copies directly to all discussants by August 8, 2008 to ensure they have ample time for review before the Annual Meeting. If discussants do not receive a copy of a paper, APSA encourages them to contact the author directly. Papers submitted late for review may be omitted from discussion at the discussant's discretion.
PROCeedings Papers will be available for downloading from PROceedings, APSA's Annual Meeting Paper Archive, in mid-August, and all members will be notified via email of the date PROceedings will be accessible.
Thank You for your Service! Thank you in advance for acting as a liaison between APSA and your panel presenters. We look forward to your participation in this year's Annual Meeting.
