In the months before the APSA Annual Meeting, APSA accepts information about employers and candidates who will be available for interviews during the conferences and makes it available to employers and candidates who sign up for the service, so that they can connect with each other at the meeting.

At the Annual Meeting, APSA provides space and facilities for employers who have posted an eJobs listing to interview candidates at the Meeting. The eJobs Annual Meeting Placement Interview Service attracts over 800 candidates and employers.

    Mentoring in the Profession
APSA invites graduate students and faculty to connect to join the APSA Mentoring Program and to review resources on making the most of your mentoring experience as a mentor or as mentored.

    Key Questions for Job Candidates
The APSA Education and Professional Development and Departmental Services committees compiled key employment questions that job candidates should ask and departments should agree to answer, through the Job Candidate Questions to Ask (JCQ) program. Departments are invited to become “Certified CJQ Department” by stating that they have considered issues affecting the professional development of faculty, and that they are prepared to discuss tenure, renewal and annual reviews, research support, teaching support, service activities, and department mentoring activities, with potential faculty.
