STATEMENT OF VIEWS
Over the past decade or so,
our association has made great efforts to enhance and expand diversity in our
profession. I will be a voice of support for sustaining our commitment in these
areas. I am concerned about renewed efforts to politicize science and
scientific inquiry. I will be an advocate for the association becoming more
proactive in explaining, and where necessary, defending the importance and
relevance of social science research.
