The goals of SAR are to contribute to good governance and development through policy research and advocacy to enhance the contribution of independent experts to the process of policy design in Romania, through public dialogue and evaluations of alternative policy proposals to contribute to the (re)building of the fields of applied social sciences, economics and public policy in Romania after fifty years of Communism to contribute to the European integration of Romania and the stability of the Balkan area through research, monitoring and advocacy.

PolSci is the first Romanian peer-reviewed journal of political science edited and published twice a year by the Romanian Academic Society, a Bucharest - based think tank with the mission of advancing ideas of liberty, democracy and sound government.The journal accepts a diverse range of articles from the political science field covering Romanian or broader Central or South - East European issues. Papers must be theory-grounded and based on solid empirical work.
