Website: http://www.arts.auckland.ac.nz/nzpsa/ The New Zealand Political Studies Association is a collegial association of individuals with a common interest in the study of politics in all of its guises. While the bulk of its members are University-based academics, the Association also embraces local and national politicians, parliamentary officers, diplomats, journalists, students, secondary-school teachers, pollsters and non-academic political commentators. It showcases aspects of New Zealand politics, but is by no means confined to that focus, including members from a diversity of political perspectives and backgrounds, and from a broad range of academic specialities: history, law, philosophy, literary theory, labour relations, sociology, cultural studies, media studies, gender and ethnic studies, as well as international relations, political studies and political science. It organises national conferences with semi-annual frequency and is affiliated with both the Australasian Political Studies Association and the Federation of New Zealand Social Science Organizations.
