The Hellenic Political Science Association is a non-profit, independent, non-governmental, academic and professional organisation devoted to the advancement of knowledge concerning politics and society in Greece and elsewhere.

The Association seeks to promote its purpose through activities such as lecture series, workshops, conferences and publications designed to advance comparative and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of politics and to bring Greek political scientists into more direct and continuing contact with their Balkan, European and American counterparts.

To that end, the HPSA has organized during the past few years lectures by reknown foreign academics such as Richard Clogg, Jacques Chevallier, Ernesto Laclau, Hanspeter Kriesi, Paul Hirst, Torcuato Di Tella, Jack Hayward, Ulrich Von Alemann and Jose Ramon Montero, and various international conferences with the participation of a great number of Greek and foreign scholars.
