The BRAZILIAN POLITICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION (ABCP) is a scientific association which gathers professionals and graduation students in the field, which was created with the objective of promoting the exchange of ideas, the debate of problems, the maintenance of a high level of professional ethics, and the defence of shared interests in the field of Political Science. Created in 1986, re-activated in 1996, and counting nowadays with over 300 members, the ABCP and has been organizing its National Congress every two years, besides having promoted and participated regularly on a variety of scientific events. It's directed by an Executive Committee elected by its members in Assemblies in the end of each National Congress, and structured over 3 Commissions and 6 Research Fields, on which its activities are based. The ABCP is institutionally affiliated to the International Political Science Association - IPSA (http://www.ipsa.ca).
