The American Judicature Society, founded in 1913, is a nonpartisan organization with a national membership of judges, lawyers, and non-legally trained citizens interested in the administration of justice. Through research, educational programs, and publications, AJS's primary areas of focus are judicial independence, ethics in the courts, judicial selection, the jury, court administration, and public understanding of the justice system.
