Journal of Chinese Political Science is a refereed academic journal published by the Association of Chinese Political Studies (ACPS), founded in 1986 to promote academic exchanges among Chinese and American scholars in the field of Chinese political studies. Over the years the journal has widened its aims and transformed itself into a serious scholarly journal that publishes theoretical, policy, and empirical research articles, research notes, and review articles on contemporary Chinese politics across the whole spectrum of political science. However, JCPS also welcomes manuscripts on different aspects of contemporary China when these relate closely to Chinese politics, political economy, political culture, reform and opening, development, the military, law and legal system, foreign relations, and other important issues of political significance. JCPS articles are abstracted and indexed in OCLC PAIS International, International Political Science Abstracts, Historical Abstracts, America: History and Life, and Sociological Abstracts, Social Services Abstracts, Worldwide Political Science Abstracts, and EBSCO Database.
