Conference Dates: February 27-28, 2009 This is a call for papers for the Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Political Science Association. The Arkansas Political Science Association (ArkPSA) is a professional association of university and secondary political science educators, graduate and undergraduate students, practitioners, and others interested in the scientific study of government and political behavior. The Association also publishes a refereed journal once each year - The Midsouth Political Science Review (MPSR). We invite paper, panel, and roundtable submissions from political scientists or those in related fields as well as political science students. Anyone whose research relates to the fields below should submit a proposal to the appropriate section chair. All proposals must include the information required under "Proposal Submission" below. If you are uncertain about your paper’s placement, send the proposal to the Program Chair or contact him/her to clarify the appropriate section. Individuals are also strongly encouraged to serve as panel chairs or discussants, and should send such requests to the appropriate section chairs. Sections & Chairs ARKANSAS/STATE POLITICS INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS/COMPARATIVE POLITICS POLITICAL THEORY PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION/PUBLIC POLICY STUDENT RESEARCH Proposal Submission To help the section chairs in their task, all proposals should include the following information: Proposal type: (paper, panel, roundtable, chair, or discussant) Lodging This year’s conference will be at the Lakepoint Conference Center on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas. The Lakepoint Conference Center has lodging for up to 80 people. Each lodge includes a large community area with amenities such as: big screen TV, DVD/VCR player, movies, pool table, piano, sofa, wired/wireless internet access.
