6: Political Economy
Jonas Pontusson, Princeton University, jpontuss@princeton.edu The Political Economy Section invites paper and panel proposals on any and all aspects of the global economic crisis: its political origins and long-term political implications as well as the politics of bailouts, macro-economic stimulus and regulatory reform. Priority will be given to proposals that engage with existing models of political economy and aspire to generate new theoretical insights. With respect to substantive topics, priority will be given to work that addresses the implications of the crisis for our understanding of the governance structures of the world economy and national varieties of capitalism. Our ambition is to field panels that cross the traditional divides between international and comparative political economy and between the study of advanced and developing countries. |
