The American Political Science Association (APSA) seeks a talented individual to assist in guiding its development and editorial programs. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to:
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and excellent copyediting and proofreading skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with donors, authors, editors, and other professionals. Prior fundraising experience is desirable. Must have strong computer (Microsoft Office, content management software, or similar applications) and customer service skills. Web skills and/or desktop publishing is a big plus. The Assistant must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision while consistently meeting deadlines and contributing to both team and organization-wide objectives. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of related experience, but recent graduates with superior skills are encouraged to apply. The Assistant must be able to travel as needed.
