 Statement of Views

As a representative of a metropolitan comprehensive teaching institution I have sought to create access to and open opportunities in the discipline for women, minorities and other under-represented groups. Overwhelmingly, the support of the APSA, its committees and related groups has facilitated that effort and has prompted me to seek further prospects to advance that objective.

Additionally, I seek to increase the access for and participation of political scientists from bachelor’s and master’s level institutions by promoting activities within the discipline that increase opportunities for those members that are relevant to their interests and the collective interests of their institutions. I look forward to the opportunity to work with members of the discipline and its governing officers to advance the scope and objectives of the field.
