Praeger Security International is launching a new series, the PSI Guides to Terrorists, Insurgents and Armed Groups.  Each volume in this series is meant to be a relatively short but authoritative research study of a particular terrorist group, insurgency or other armed group.

    * The volume should include organizational biographies, 5-6 narrative chapters that provide a concise overview of the origins, ideology, growth, activities, etc. of your chosen group.

    * Envisioned as works aimed at a broad audience (not specifically specialists in their respective fields), these volumes will chronicle the rise and (in many cases, but not all) the demise of terrorist organizations, insurgencies, and armed groups from around the globe, while addressing issues of international security, transnational threats, and regional concerns specific to each entity.

    * Beyond the narrative chapters, each work must include content specific appendices, to include maps, glossary, brief biographical sketches of leaders, prominent organizational members and a timeline of key organizational events (establishment of, key events such as hijackings, bombings, taking/releasing hostages, etc.). When possible, original documents that illustrate organizational philosophies, organizational responses to international actions, or national policies directed toward the organizations would be a welcome inclusion in any appendix.

    * Overall, your volume should provide a general readership with everything they need to know about a particular terrorist group, insurgency or other armed group

*The works in this series are not limited to single authorship, and when appropriate, can be co-authored
