Georgia Political Science Association Conference
|
 |
Dates: November 13, 14, 15, 2008 Call Deadline: July 1, 2008 Location: Savannah, Georgia, USA Website: www.gpsanet.org
Whether it is the 2008 presidential election, globalization, or the planet’s ecosystem, the implications of change are being fiercely debated in the political arena. Under the broad theme of “The Politics of Change,” a call for papers to the 2008 Georgia Political Science Association is issued—proposals need not address the theme to be selected. Teaching faculty, graduate students, and advanced undergraduate students are encouraged to submit research for discussion and review at the 40th annual conference to be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Savannah in November 2008. Papers are accepted from all fields of Political Science as well as related disciplines.
Scholars and faculty can choose to submit their presented papers for consideration for publication in our edited and refereed annual proceedings published online each year with the best paper selected for the McBrayer Award with a $500 cash prize attached. Undergraduate research nominated by member faculty can be considered for the annual Pajari award.
The deadline for submission is July 1, 2008. Acceptances are offered on a rolling basis with panels organized no later than September 1, 2008.
Send your paper and panel proposals to Dr. James LaPlant of Valdosta State University— the 2008 program chair. Volunteers for discussant and chair roles are also welcome.
