In early 2006, the APSA Council authorized an ad hoc committee, the Working Group on Collaboration, to study patterns of collaborative research in the discipline and to explore what ethical and procedural issues may follow from collaborative scholarship.

The charge to this committee called for preparation of a report that could serve as the basis for community discussion with the discipline. In August, 2006, the committee published the Report of the APSA Working Group on Collaboration (.pdf)

In addition, the Working Group:

Established a message board for public comments on the Report of the APSA Working Group on Collaboration. You are welcome to continue to post comments for consideration by the Working Group on this board.
Held a roundtable discussion on this topic at the 2007 APSA Annual Meeting that was sponsored by the APSA Ethics Committee.
