The Journal of Children & Poverty welcomes manuscripts for consideration which address issues surrounding children and families in poverty. Articles for publication may be from either an academic or practitioner perspective but should contribute to the current public policy debate.

A forum for the presentation of research and policy initiatives in the areas of public policy, education, health, and the socioeconomic causes and effects of poverty, the Journal of Children & Poverty seeks to promote intellectual debate and new ideas that will impact policy and practice in the field of child and family welfare. From an international perspective, JCP invites critical and creative thinking to further the understanding of global issues affecting the quality of life for children and families.

The Journal of Children & Poverty is a publication of the Institute for Children and Poverty and Taylor & Francis Publishing. It targets a cross-disciplinary audience that includes policy makers, academics, service providers, advocates, educators, philanthropists, and community leaders.
