Status of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, and Transgendered in the Profession
The Committee on the Status of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgendered (LGBT) in the Profession assesses the status of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered scholars in the profession; advances the research on LGBT issues; develops curriculum materials; and works to ensure tolerance toward LGBT political scientists.

- Review of U.S. Politics Textbooks
The Committee authorized a review of 17 recent editdions of top-selling textbooks marked for use in courses that provide an introduction to U.S. Politics. The result of that review were published as "Survey of Textbooks for Teaching Introduction to U.S. Politics: (How) Do They See Us" (.pdf) in PS: Political Science & Politics, Vol. 40, No. 2 (April 2007)
- Online Syllabi Project
LGBT in the Profession has started to collect and review available online syllabi for courses in gender, sexuality, and American politics. For a list of some of these syllabi, see the APSA Online Political Science Syllabi page and scroll to the topic heading Gender, Sexuality, and American Politics.
